PACKAGING/PRODUCT DESIGN
These die cast toy garbage trucks are used by Randwick City Council to give out to children at special events like Playground openings or the Randwick Christmas Festival - an event where we made and gave out 600 showbags to children and had a real truck and street sweeper on site so that the kids could have fun climbing aboard.
Decals were designed for the toy truck to match the designs of the actual garbage truck livery. The packaging design is themed around Randwick City's FOGO program which prevents food waste and organics from going to landfill by collecting and processing the organic waste into compost. For extra appeal I designed a fun activity for the back panel where you have to work through the maze collecting FOGO items along the way until you reach the garbage truck at the end.
